Boho Style For Colder Months

Creating that Boho style that appears almost effortless to throw together is easy in summer and a lot of great looks can be created, but what happens as the cooler months roll in and late autumn turns into winter?

Well there's still lots of ways of creating a boho look, I've selected 9 pieces here which I'm going to talk about with you and show you ways in which you can use these (either the pieces themselves or as inspiration) to create lots of different looks.

Of course these pieces are just a few that I've found and you'll have your own pieces to use as well as jewelry and accessories to 'own your own look'.

I'd be very interested to hear your opinion on 'my picks' below in the comment section and to know if or how you'd incorporate any of them into your wardrobe for the upcoming season.

From Birdsnest you'll see I've selected both wide legged black pants as well as a black skirt and I think of these as cornerstone pieces for your Fall and Winter wardrobes. I couldn't resist adding the final item, a gorgeous top from Free People which I've fallen in love with. This top could be worn with either the skirt or pants and I absolutely love it although with the bare shoulders I'm aware that it may not be warm enough for some climates.

From Birdsnest I've included two different long vests which can be worn over skirt, pants, dresses etc to create that long floating line that really says Boho.   It also adds an extra layer which is very on-trend for winter fashions this year.

I've also included a hat as I think you need a good hat and I love the shape of the Jimmy Choo hat, although to be honest I'll probably be buying a different brand myself!   I think a fedora would look great, but chunky beanies are also a great look which can look great with Boho style and are also very on-trend this season.

The other two items I've added will go with a dress, pants or skirt and are about adding layers and warmth while keeping your style.   One of my favorite's is the Lola Contrast Gorilla Faux Fur Gilet from Missguided which is a very cool look for this winter as well as, I think, having some great Boho elements to it.   Next is the poncho which I would imagine is very warm if it's anything like the poncho I had last year (and it does look like it).   Ponchos are a great way of adding a touch of bohemian style to a costume so I just had to add it here.

So there you go if you want some Boho style this winter then hopefully I've given you some inspiration.
