I'm not sure that any piece is really the stand out piece in this ensemble, the way it all comes together like is like an "I just pulled this on" look that actually took a while to plan!   I think the addition of the crochet shawl is what gives this look a very beachy, boho vibe.   If you lost the shawl then the outfit underneath would look much more like a clubbing outfit.

Unfortunately this particular top is out of stock and I can't find an alternative stockist at the moment, but there are a number of other white tops which would work really well like - this one in the white or even this one in white, alternatively you probably have a white top already that could work really well.

The lace up shorts round out the outfit and the jewelry brings it home.   Combine your favorite choker with a more delicate bolo necklace to get the featured jewelry look.

There are some great party dresses available for this season, but I've narrowed them down to four dresses that will make you look good and stay on trend this holiday season.

We have the obligatory little black dress which every girl needs at least one of to get through any holiday season.

Next we're going metallic with both a gold dress and a silver dress picked. Metallics are really hot this season so these dresses are right on trend.

To round out my top four picks I'm going with an injection of blue, I'll admit a bias as I love the color blue, but I think you'll fall in love with this dress as it's very 'structural' in look and would stand out no matter what color it was in........the blue does seem to make it 'pop' even more though.

Ribbed Knitted Dress - A Must Have Fashion Piece for Fall/Winter 2015

When it comes to great street fashion this fall and winter, there's one thing that you didn't know you needed - a ribbed knit dress!

Fashion always has more than one look which is why we look at designers and fashion retailers to see a range of hot looks for the season and then pick the ones that will suit us best. Today I'm bringing you a few of the trends forecast by Saks Fifth Avenue -

The abstract florals have already been apparent in some of the gorgeous shoes we've seen from our favorite designers, bold colors and floral based patterns certainly look like they're going to be coming into their own.

When they talk about transparent interest it means we are going to continue to see a lot of lace and mesh in overlays on everything from dresses to booties.   

In the Age of Aquarius we are seeing fringy, boho style meets 1960s Woodstock with some fun festival wear - it's all about fun fashion - prints, fringes, layers.

Do You Have Any Wedges for Spring/Summer?

I don't know what it is about wedges, but they say it's summertime to me or summer is almost here at least. They go really well with summer fashions especially the Boho styles which are looking to be extremely popular this year. There are lots of different wedges available though so where to start?

Here are a few wedges I think will look great this summer -

Alexander Wang Alla Open-Toe Suede-Paneled Leather Wedge Booties

These wedge booties by Alexander Wang are very on-trend this year as this summer looks set to be over-run with open toe booties!

I love the cutout wedge heel and the pop of bright blue suede at the back of the otherwise black and which neutral bootie.

I can see these being worn at the office as well as in the evening, not really a beach shoe though or even one to wear to a garden party, but still a useful addition to your shoe arsenal.

Alice + Olivia Jenna Pinstriped Leather Wedge Sandals

These Alice + Olivia wedge sandals are on my must have for summer list.   The monochrome pinstripes add an element of graphic cool to the classic wedge sandals.   Stripes are still in this season so these sandals will go beautiful with a range of interesting outfits.

If you're not a fan of the striped dresses or tops that seem to be everywhere at the moment you can use these sandals to add stripes to an otherwise 'plain' outfit and still seem on-trend.

These sandals work beautifully with a pair of cropped jeans as well as denim shorts and let's face it denim is always a safe bet to wear!   

Jimmy Choo Papyrus Patent Leather & Cork Wedge Sandals

These Jimmy Choo wedge sandals are available in the white seen here along with black or nude, so basically all of the neutrals and they are perfect for wearing day or night with dresses or pants.

These are a platform wedge in a natural cork which always looks good in the summer.   The ankle strap is adjustable and they add a little something to the shoe which lifts it above cork wedged sandals of previous years that have had nothing at the ankle and have just been slip on sandals.

I think Jimmy Choo has provided the perfect summer wedge here, but if you don't agree then you'll be happy to know he also has a range of other wedges and you can see some of them when you click on the shoe above.

Of course if you're after something with a bit of fun you can't go past these festival wedges -

I've featured these shoes on my Pinterest feed as I think they are simply gorgeous!   They certainly fit with this post as they are wedges, perfect for spring or summer and they are full of fun with the multi-colored fringe.
